A part of a large chain of English schools world wide is looking for compassionate English Teachers to teach in the cities of Huzhou, Hangzhou and Wuxi, in eastern China, very near Shanghai. They are looking for native English speakers with a bachelors degree. Teachers will be expected to work 5 days a week at 5 hours a day averaging at 20-30 hours / week. Student´s age will range from 3-14 years old.
Huzhou boasts a 2,300 year history, and many historians say that Huzhou is the birthplace of Chinese tea culture, which visitors can experience at any number of teahouses in the area. Modern metroplolises like Hangzhou, Shanghai and Nanjing are within close distances for easy visiting, but this city’s love of history and culture has preserved a distinct Chinese feel.
Wuxi is famous for being one of the birthplaces of China´s modern industry as well as being the hometown of many important figures in China. Wuxi is a major tourist area with many beautiful mountains and one of the largest Buddha statues in China.
Hangzhou is one of the 7 ancient cities of China. It has a long history of more than 2200 years. In fact Marco Polo, the famous Italian explorer called Hangzhou the most beautiful and luxurious city in the world. Today, this capital of Zeijiang province is still known as "Heaven on Earth" by locals.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree
- TEFL certification (or equivalent)
- 2 years post graduation work experience in any field preferred
