School Overview: This is a private, local, English-medium Kindergarten and Primary School for Chinese families. The school consists of a Primary School and Kindergarten on separate sites in the south of the city and is a progressive and rapidly growing international school. The Kindergarten is a purpose-built, well-appointed facility and is an IB candidate school that offers an inquiry-based, bi-lingual (Mandarin/English) education to both local and international students. The Primary School opened in September 2016 and already has almost 300 students on roll. The schools aim is for their community, and especially the children, to be happy, to have fun and to be truly engaged in learning, and continually motivated to achieve further successes.

Location Overview: Known as a very green city, Guangzhou has been voted one of the most live-able in China - it is close enough to Hong Kong (2hrs by train) for wonderful weekends away and has its own large expatriate community with all of the activities to match the typical expat lifestyle.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience. They must be native English speakers from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, or South Africa. Singles and teaching couples preferred, the school can take up to two children within the age range 2 to 6 but parents must be aware that the social context of the student population is Chinese. Applicants must be flexible, willing to gain experience in the PYP and to contribute to its implementation in the school, open to collaborative and curriculum development.
