School Overview: Opening in 2018, this school will provide education from primary school to junior high school. The school is a candidate for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program / Diploma Program and is pursuing authorisation as an IB World School. The school is designed for the children of overseas Chinese who return to China and those who aim to study overseas in the future. They will provide a dual language, multi-cultural learning environment with first-class teaching facilities for students, and will educate students to be life-long inquirers and learners who have artistic and creative potential. The campus provides excellent facilities such as library, multi-media lab, Design technology (DT) classroom, music classroom, art classroom, science laboratory, dance studio, theatre, cafeteria, indoor stadium, outdoor stadium and other purpose-built facilities to create an environment where students want to learn.

Location Overview: Wuxi is a booming city of 6 million people. The area is undergoing considerable regeneration as a residential and tourist area. Despite its size Wuxi is a pleasant city and as long as you don´t mind living in a rapidly developing country China and the Chinese people are genuinely friendly and open to foreigners. Wuxi is about 79 miles north of Shanghai and is dubbed "little Shanghai" because of its close proximity to the city and booming economy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Applicants must be fully qualified teachers with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience. The school is looking for highly motivated and suitably qualified teachers, who are keen to join this school within it´s second year of operation. Preference will be for those with previous IB or international experience, although this is not essential. The school will be seeking individuals who will be inspired by the opportunity to help to develop a brand new Chinese international school. As with any new school, teachers will need to be resilient and flexible.
