School Vision / Ethos: This International School will be opening in August 2018. The school will be housed in a purpose-built campus, an integrated mix-use development set in the scenic city of Dalian. It has a built-in area of 12,500 square meters with residential facilities and state-of-the-art educational and outdoor resources such as swimming pools, spacious library facilities, IT labs, gymnasium and extensive outdoor and indoor sports areas etc. The school will offer an inquiry-based Early Years programme, the IB Primary, Middle and High school programmes (including a Secondary Foundation year) and full IB Diploma to both residential and day students.

Location Overview: Nicked named the ´Hong Kong of the North´, Dalian is perched on the Liaoning Peninsula and bordering the Yellow Sea. It is one of the most relaxed and liveable cities in the northeast, if not all of China. Tree-lined hilly streets with manageable traffic and fresh air, a surfeit of early 20th-century architecture and an impressive coastline, complete with swimming beaches, are just some of its charms.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Applicants must be willing to be flexible and able to contribute to the setup of a brand new school. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Education or PGCE equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant teaching experience. Experience of IB PYP, MYP and DP teaching and training is highly valued, as is previous international experience in Asia.
