Bell is recruiting for an EFL Primary Teacher to join our expanding partnership English programme at Assumption College, Rama II, Thailand, to start in May 2018. 

This post involves up to 21 hours of classroom teaching per week to Thai students (aged 5-11) in Primary English programmes at our Bell language centre located within Assumption College English Program (ACEP) Rama II.

Successful applicants will be asked to complete a lesson plan task as part of the recruitment process. Duties will include:

•21 contact hours maximum per week, including some Secondary cover when required
•Being present at school from Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm
•Lesson and course design for Cambridge Young Learner examination courses
•Teaching small group Remedial classes for our Lower Primary Y1-3 classes
•Liaising and building strong relationships with English Program teachers and Thai and foreign staff
•Contribution of materials to a resource library
•Preparation, administration and marking of student work and completing student individual continual assessment
•Responsible for keeping all lesson records and plans up to date
•Taking a professional and pro-active part in our teacher development program, which includes observations, peer observations, keeping a staff appraisal folder and contributing to the in-service training of Bell colleagues through the delivery of presentations and workshops
•Taking a pro-active approach to your own personal teacher development
•Attending regular staff meetings
•Assisting with the preparation and running of ELT examinations as required
•Participating in school activities such as assemblies, sports days, competitions, and Thai festivals

QUALIFICATIONS

Person Specification 

Minimum Requirements

•Degree level qualified
•CELTA/TEFL qualification (or equivalent)
•Minimum of 2 years’ post CELTA experience teaching Young Learners (ages 5-11)
•English proficiency at C2 level

Preferred

•Cambridge Diploma or MA in TESOL/Linguistics.
•Experience of the Thai education system.
•Young learner teacher training experience.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Remuneration and Benefits 

•A salary between 48,000 – 66,000 baht depending on qualifications and experience
