We are looking for an enthusiastic mathematics teacher to join our small and friendly team.

Our after school centre offers teachers a career alternative that has all the benefits of teaching children but without the difficulties that teachers face in schools.

Our sessions have a maximum limit of 6 students - allowing them to make real progress.  Teachers are fully trained using our proven methods but we want our teachers to add their own creativiy and personality when teaching our students.

There are no books to mark outside of working hours and preparation time is factored in to the 6 hour teaching evening.  There are also absolutely no behaviour issues at all with our students - they come to the centre out of choice and want to learn!

Our current teachers are exceedingly happy working at the centre, they enjoy the good quality resources, friendly students, small team and relaxed lifestyle.  They enjoy teaching again.  The hours of teaching would be after school and one weekend day.  Total of five days per week.

The day to day role would be a teacher of mathematics up to the age of 18.  We would fully train the successful candidate using our proven methods but we encourage our teachers to add their own resources and creativity to the lessons.  Our sessions have a maximum of 6 students, planning and marking is incorporated into the daily hours of 2pm till 8pm.  There should be no marking to take home with you and very few meetings / PTAs held at the centre.  We believe in happy staff and our teachers are extremely happy to maintain the joys of teaching but without the difficulties of teaching in a mainstream school.

Our teachers must also have a good relationship with the parents of the students, providing brief but consistent verbal feedback.

There is a possibility of a managerial role for the right candidate which would involve marketing and promoting the centre, alongside the management of staff.
