We are located in five cities across China, and have worked with over 10,000 students since our founding. In September 2017, Ivy Education Group´s Daystar Academy is opening a second campus located i the heart of Beijing´s embassy area, Sanlitun.
Responsibilities and Duties
•Responsible for teaching ESL to elementary school students;
•Ensures the curriculum is implemented in a way that maximizes student learning;
•Uses instructional practices that fosters learning for all students;
•Ensures that assessment data is used to inform instructional decisions;
•Participation in school co-curricular activities, events, professional development meetings;
•Works collaboratively with the Chinese and English teaching staff;
•Ensure student safety by performing supervisory duties at selected breaks and lunchtimes;
•Other duties, as assigned by the Middle School Co-Head of School.
Qualifications & Requirements
•Minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
•Two years of teaching experience
•TEFL/TESOL certificate
•A strong knowledge of differentiation strategies
•English as mother tongue
•Open-minded, enthusiastic and demonstrates a willingness to embrace a unique, multicultural school culture
•Must have an interest in living and working in China and at school that strongly supports and embraces Chinese language and culture
