Corporate Instructor

One of New Education World’s corporate clients is looking for a female native English-speaking instructor to work in-house.

This is a 1-year contract paying 50,000 baht a month, commencing in April 2018.

The client, a well-known global brand, is located in Bangkok at MRT Thailand Cultural Center station on Ratchadapisek Road.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. These working hours will allow the successful candidate opportunity to do further casual teaching in the evenings and/or on weekends.

The successful candidate will be provided with a work permit that is arranged and paid for by New Education World, receive complimentary BUPA health insurance, and receive comprehensive administrative and academic support from our Corporate Training Department.

In the first 6 months, the successful candidate’s first hour of each day will be free from classes and include a short briefing with HR as well as time to prepare for lessons or take care of any paperwork. The instructor will then usually spend the rest of most days teaching one-to-one (private) lessons from a pool of 35 Japanese and Thai learners.

Preparation for classes will be minimal, as curriculum and teaching materials will be supplied by New Education World. Levels of learners will vary from Elementary to Upper-Intermediate. The instructor may be required to periodically create individual learner progress reports, and some testing and assessment may also be required, but will be minimal and supported by the Corporate Training Department.

At days or times when no classes are scheduled, the successful candidate will be available to receive learners on a drop-in basis, providing English language tutoring and consulting.

Roles and responsibilities for the second 6-month period will be based on performance and success of the first 6-month plan.

The 1-year contract is on condition of periodic performance reviews and an initial probation period.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

•Female (a requirement of the client)

•Native speaker of English (British or American is preferred by the client)

•Bachelor’s degree or higher

•CELTA (or equivalent) qualified

•Previous experience teaching business English at a range of levels

•Previous experience teaching one-to-one classes is preferred

•Currently residing in Thailand
