High School at Rochester School, a private bilingual school in Chia, Colombia, is delivered in two semesters per grade level from 9th through 12th.
The English teaching position open for the second semester starting in January of 2017 is for teaching English Writing & Speech in 9th, English Composition & Speech II in 10th, English Novels in 11th, and Journalism Genre in 12th. In each grade level the teacher will have one group of 24 students max and will have them 5 times per week in 55-minute class sessions, for a total of 20 classes per week in all four grade levels. The teacher will have about 2 free sessions per day for planning, evaluating, and peer coaching. Lots of training in teaching with Glasser´s Choice Theory is offered as well as lots of support. Most of the students are Colombian and they have been learning English since 4 years old at Rochester School.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Required Certificates:Teaching Credential/License, TESL/TEFL Certificate over 100 hours
- Education RequiredMaster

Additional Requirements
- Native English speaker from the United States, Canada or United Kingdom
- Certified English teacher with at least a Master´s degree and 3 years of experience teaching English
