Job Description:
We are currently seeking qualified upper elementary teachers to teach English Language Arts, Math, and Science. Being in such position, you will be the head teacher to one class of size not exceeding 25 students.
The position involves teaching as a full-time upper elementary homeroom teacher, in cooperation with a Chinese co-teacher, for one class of approximately 20-25 students; the teacher is expected to create a positive classroom environment that reflects and promotes the mission of our school, and to work collaboratively with others within the team and larger school staff to promote the general well-being of the class and the school community.
We hope our teacher could be equipped with the capability to teach and lead the following subjects and activities:
- English language arts (ESL experience a plus)
- English reading (leveled reading with differentiation a plus)
- Math
- General Science (including conducting experiments) as well as covering topics on health once in a week (if qualified)
- Organizing students to participate various school activities within (e.g. Halloween festival) and outside of school (e.g. field trip)
- Character Education
Qualifications & Requirements
- Required CertificatesTeaching Credential/License
- Education RequiredBachelor
- Minimum Teaching Experience3 Years
- MajorElementary education, with reading endorsement and ESL experience.
Additional Requirements
- Holder of Bachelor´s Degree or above, with Teacher´s Certification or Degree/Master in Education
- American, British, Canadian or Australian would be considered more desirable
- Advantage with reading endorsement or training in how to teach reading
- Advantage with have previous ESL /Special Ed teaching experiences
