This is a great new school scheduled which opened in August 2016 and is currently seeking to complement its growing faculty team with a select set of well-rounded talent to help build the foundations of a new world class school in Riyadh.

Founded by Prince Mohammad Bin Salman, the school is driven by an ambition to advance the intellectual capital of Saudi through championing a unique educative model based on the International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum, all within a state-of-the-art purpose built facilities at the heart of the Saudi community.

The Philosophy of the school combines the principles of project-based and experiential learning on top of other proven instructional techniques to shape the skillset of some of the worlds brightest minds. It aims to instil them with an entrepreneurial spirit, ultimately preparing them to confidently face the diverse challenges of modern-day life.

The school opened its doors in September 2016, beginning with the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) with grades KG up to Year 3 opening in its first year. The school will eventually be a K - 12 offering for up to 600 students.

Riyadh is the capital of Saudi Arabia. Traditionally a culturally strict city - you will need to be a culturally sensitive individual, looking to immerse yourself in a traditional Middle Eastern environment. Saudi Arabia enjoys a very vibrant, social and welcoming expatriate life style but it is not advertised on bill boards in big flashing lights. You have to go out to find it. Work is a good starting point to start you social life and from there it is a matter of networking and word of mouth. On the streets of Riyadh shopping and eating appear to be the main pastime especially for the locals and you are welcome to join in; there are big malls with western retail outlets and there is the usual array of restaurant chains.


QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

You should be a qualified teacher who will ideally have two years post qualifying experience however strong teachers who have less post qualifying experience will be considered Teachers with previous PYP curriculum experience are sought after but again the school is keen to secure the best educators and will support curriculum learning for those who have not taught PYP previously. A commitment to the IB philosophy of student centred teaching is therefore required.. The school is keen to hire teachers from UK, Ireland, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa in order to create a truly international environment. Previous experience of working with EAL (Students with English as their second language is desirable).

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Package: Salary range of 18 - 24,000 SAR per month depending on qualifications and experience (TAX FREE); annual flights, Housing in a superb compound that affords you all the facilities you need; furniture allowance, relocation allowance, medical cover, Driver service to and from school; there is also tuition allowances and discounts for two children.
