Jinan Education Bureau, in the capital of the Shandong Province, is seeking candidate(s) to work with kindergarten students in Jinan elementary school buildings to introduce students to the English language through a pre-determined thematic curriculum.
Jinan Education Bureau is seeking enthusiastic, (preferably) native English speakers with a bachelor’s degree and experience working with young children to give students a unique experience and create excitement for learning English. Education and teaching credentials are preferred, but previous experience working with young students will be considered.
Jinan Education Bureau is seeking two kindergarten teachers for the current school year that will continue into next school year. Jinan Education Bureau will provide a comprehensive package for those seeking and successfully obtaining a position. This is a one-year contract position with the option of renewal for subsequent years upon successful performance evaluations.

Additional Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Background in English and language instruction or experience teaching or working with elementary age students
- Native or near native English speaker
- Experience working with non-native English speakers
- Flexibility and creativity, ability to work well with young kids
- Ability to build relationships with students and families
- Some Instructional knowledge and pedagogy for English instruction and techniques
- Ability to deliver an English curriculum to young learners and engage students
Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
- Current valid teaching certificate and credentials in the United States or Canada
- English as a Second Language (ESL)/English Language Learner (ELL) certification, training or coursework
- Experience teaching in a foreign country or with non-native English speakers
- ESL/ELL program development and/or work with ESL/ELL students in a general education classroom setting
- Culturally responsive teaching practice knowledge and experience
- Experience and understanding with and/or teaching U.S. culture combined with language instruction or good working knowledge of U.S. culture and the ability to teach it to secondary students in an interesting, engaging way
- Ability to follow pre-developed lesson plans and the ability to modify lessons as needed during instruction
Job Benefits
- Salary –¥8,300 – ¥10,400/month, commensurate with experience
