JOB DETAILS

Lertlah School hires approximately 150 English speaking teachers/year to teach English at the kindergarten, primary and middle school levels. Teachers work 5 days a week, with weekends and a variety of holidays off. Teachers may be asked to teach at any level, dependent on individual preference and educational background.

Salary is based on educational background and teaching experience. 

In the immersion program (LIPS), teachers have a homeroom class of between 15 and 18 students. They are responsible for teaching English language arts, science, math, and social studies. 

In the English program (EP), teachers are responsible for 2 or more classes, dividing their time equally, and are responsible for teaching English language arts, science, and math. 


QUALIFICATIONS

We are currently hiring teachers for the 2019/20 school year (immediately) and beyond. Teachers will be hired for a one-year contract, with the opportunity to stay longer if interested, following a brief probation period. Work permit and health insurance are provided. Airfare will be reimbursed up to a maximum of 1800 CAN upon successful completion of the contract if applying from abroad. Qualifications for teachers vary by program, however, a bachelor of Education is preferred for most grade levels. A bachelors degree is required for all teaching positions. Experience teaching, or working with children would also be an asset. Lertlah also welcomes couples and those with children.
