JOB DETAILS

Saritdidet School is a government school with a well-established English program, friendly, easy-going staff, excellent resources and staff support. Saritdidet School has the largest English Program in Thailand, running now for 17+ years. Saritdidet is reputable and has had positive results each year in local, national and international competitions. We are looking for native English speakers to join our team this academic year.

There are currently 32 native English-speaking teachers teaching in the English Program. The English Program at Saritdidet School is reputable and has had positive results, including students winning the gold award at the "Jewel in the Crown” national English competition and numerous students placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd in various English Program Open House competitions.

We are looking for enthusiastic, well-organized, and flexible teachers to join our team at Saritdidet, full-time, starting May 2019 to March 2020.

The English Program teachers for each grade will be responsible for teaching one class (maximum size 40 students) eight subjects (English, science, mathematics, health, P.E., careers and technology, art and club) for a total of 18 hours per week. You will work alongside a Thai homeroom teacher, who teaches the remaining hours and in addition, you’ll have an English speaking Thai co-teacher present in your class, to assist you. 


QUALIFICATIONS

The right candidates will be native English speakers with a degree qualification, EFL certificate and at least a year´s experience of teaching. We are unable to recruit applicants without at least a 3-year degree certificate such as BA or BSC in any discipline.

SALARY AND BENEFITS

We provide a monthly salary (starting at B35,000 per month and subject to change each year), work permit and Thai health insurance scheme. The successful candidates must pay for their own visas. There is also an opportunity to earn extra by teaching a few extra hours per week. We offer assistance with visas and work permits. 

In return, you are expected to be punctual and present during office hours, which are 7:45am - 4:00pm, from Monday to Friday. You will also be expected to help to train students for competitions, such as speech, storytelling, spelling bee and other contests. There may also be field trips, training and seminars that you would be expected to attend.
