Teach English to Japanese students living in Thailand! Now hiring full time Native English teachers for positions starting April 2019!
WE World of English is an English language school and a new English Nursery, located in the sunny city of Sriracha, Thailand in Chonburi province, which sits between Bangkok and Pattaya city. It´s a quiet town with an atmosphere unlike other places in Thailand. There is a large Japanese community living locally and a Japanese elementary/junior high school, as well as multiple Japanese kindergartens. Although WE is based in Thailand, presently the majority of our students are Japanese. Because of this, we hope to find experienced teachers who not only have an interest in and appreciation of Thai culture, but that of Japanese as well.
WE caters to the needs of English learners of all ages. From toddler to adult, WE creates fun and creative original curriculums and materials to engage the students in expanding their language abilities. Group lessons for kids range from 2-8 students per class with a native teacher and one Thai classroom assistant who helps to manage the kids, check homework, prepare materials and encourage the students to participate in the lesson activities. Teachers have a great opportunity to further develop their skills and have an interesting routine by teaching learners from each age group. Our unique teaching approach also gives teachers a chance to try something new while exploring their own ideas.
The WE approach is based on a "learning by doing" concept and our lesson plans include exciting projects and activities for the kids to practice using the target language with. Every kid`s class includes phonics, music, art, science, games, physical activities, reading and writing as well as pronunciation development. All teacher resources are provided by WE and are worked on by all staff. Teachers will continue developing their teaching skills and learn more about classroom education by participating in ongoing materials and curriculum development. There are fun activity- based camps held each season and teachers get to apply their own creativity by planning exciting events for students to enjoy and practice using their English skills.
Teachers with experience and a passion for teaching kids as well as adults are encouraged to apply. Experience in early childhood education (nursery, kindergarten or daycare) is a big plus! Any additional skills, such as musical or artistic abilities, athletic ability or tech related skills, will be another plus, as WE is looking for graphic designers, artists and musicians to work on our original materials and products. Applicants holding a University degree can send us a current CV, any references, and a headshot photo, as well as any class videos you may have to apply for positions starting from April 2019. All applicants must go through a three step interview process including a demo lesson.
