School Vision / Ethos: This brand new International School will open its doors to its first batch of students in September 2017. It is part of a school group with two additional campuses in Kuala Lumpur. This will be the first International School in Bintulu and mark the start of a new tradition of academic excellence for all its people, Malaysian and expatriate alike. Initially enrolment will be for children from 5 - 9 years old and each subsequent year will see the opening of the next year group. The school will follow a broad and varied curriculum based on the National Curriculum for England & Wales. The school´s ethos will be steeped in the Asian values and flavors of self-discipline, integrity and the pursuit of excellence among the teachers and the students. Students will be subject to high expectations, in and out of the classroom. Hard work, commitment and perseverance are reinforced and a firm structured system of nurturing students is provided. Location Overview: Bintulu is a coastal town in Sarawak, a Malaysian state on the northwest coast of the island of Borneo. The state of Sarawak It is famous for ancient rainforests and wildlife, not to mention their world-renown beaches. You can find rare species of mammals like the Sumatran rhino and Asian pygmy elephant as well as the orangtan, proboscis monkey, gibbon, lemur, civet, Malaysian sun bear, and lots more.


QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Applicants must have at least 5 years of experience and must have UK curriculum experience. Due to visa requirements, teachers need to be over the age of 27 to teach in Malaysia. The school prefers single teachers without dependents. They have very high standards and are very traditional in their approach, any teacher wanting to work at this school needs to share the school ethos.


SALARY AND BENEFITS

Package: Salary 10,000MYR for a Senior Teacher with 3 years of experience, 11,000MYR per month for a Lead Teacher with 5 years of experience, 12,000MYR per month for a Coordinator, 13,000MYR per month for a HOD, 14,000MYR for a Head of Division. All salaries are before tax and incorporates housing allowance. Flights, Medical cover also provided. The salary and benefits offered provide for a good Malaysia lifestyle.
