Position Summary: The primary teacher will be teaching mostly grade 1 students in an American Curriculum school program and will be supported by a Chinese teacher who is fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English. The elementary program is a new addition to an existing high school and middle school program, and the primary school teacher will join a group of 5 American teachers on campus. The curriculum will give students balanced literacy and social studies instruction. Class sizes will be smaller than 20 students; part of the teacher’s schedule may also include time for individual tutoring.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher
• Licensed or eligibility for licensure
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and open-mindedness
• A desire to teach in China

• Master’s Degree preferred
• Previous teaching experience preferred
• Experience dealing with and/or teaching international students
