School Vision / Ethos: This IB curriculum School is located in a thriving area close to Amsterdam. It is a government funded school that provides quality education to the expatriate students that have relocated with a current roll of approximately 450 - 500 students. The school is also designed for Dutch citizens returning home wishing to continue education in English, or Dutch citizens who are looking to move abroad in the future. It is an English medium school that teaches through the IB curriculum and provides a transdisciplinary education to encourage and cater for all students and has been open for more than 25 years.
Regional Overview: Hilversum is located in a beautiful region of the Netherlands known as Het Gooi, bordering the cities of Amsterdam and Utrecht with great transport links to both. It is often called the media city as it is the principal centre for radio and broadcasting in the Netherlands and was once an agricultural and weaving village. It is also home to numerous head offices for multinational companies. There is a thriving expat community with lots of opportunities to explore.
Requirements: Applicants must be qualified teachers holding degree level certification and QTS or equivalent. You should have at least 1 year of experience post qualification as a minimum, although strong NQT´s will be considered. Previous UK and/or IB experience is preferable, and international experience is welcomed. Applicants must have the right to work in the EU to be able to apply.
Package: Salary is according to country salary scale approx. €2300 - €3650. Benefits include a holiday bonus, a year-end bonus, fixed monthly travel allowance and limited relocation allowance.
