• Responsible for teaching English language and literature to elementary school students using a PYP model
• Ensures the curriculum is implemented in a way that maximizes student learning and embraces the IB philosophy of learning
• Uses instructional practices that fosters learning for all students
• Ensures that assessment data is used to inform instructional decisions
• Participation in school co-curricular activities, events, professional development meetings
• Works collaboratively with the Chinese and English teaching staff
• Ensure student safety by performing supervisory duties at selected breaks and lunchtimes
• Other duties, as assigned by the Elementary School Principal

• Required CertificatesTeaching Credential/License
• Education RequiredBachelor

• A strong knowledge of differentiation strategies
• Successful experience as an English Language and Literature teacher in a PYP classroom
• English as mother tongue
• Open-minded, enthusiastic, and demonstrates a willingness to embrace a unique, multicultural school culture
• Must have an interest in living and working in China and at school that strongly supports and embraces Chinese language and culture
