School Vision / Ethos: This not-for-profit school in Central Asia opened in September 2011 providing an inclusive international style education accredited with Cambridge International Examinations as well as with the International Baccalaureate (IB). It has offered the IB Primary Years Programme, IB Middle Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme since September 2016. The school has over 140 students age 2 to 16, with plans in place for expansion up to age 18 and doubling student numbers. An extra-curricular programme is offered and all teachers are expected to play a role in it.
Regional Overview: Kyrgyzstan is a really beautiful country and from Bishkek the most breath taking trips to the mountains and lakes are easily accessible. Tourism is taking off but the unspoiled nature of this wonderful country can still be felt. This is a very safe country where local people will go out of their way to help you. Requirements: Qualifications must have been obtained at an accredited University or Teacher´s Training College in the United Kingdom, Australia, North America, New Zealand or South Africa. Candidates should ideally have at least 2 years successful experience as a teacher and at least a familiarity with the IB PYP/MYP Programme. They are looking for teachers with a genuine enjoyment of working with children and proven ability to enable a wide range of children to develop their academic and social potential and the ability to plan strategically, to set and meet deadlines and to implement plans. Native fluency in spoken and written English, other European and Central Asia language skills are an advantage. The school want teachers who are keen to make a real difference by being part of an enthusiastic team building a non-profit community school within the limitations this can throw up. The school is keen to find adventurous resourceful people who want to push their comfort zone and learn more.
