School Vision / Ethos: This is an independent British style co-educational prep school that opened in 2013 and quickly established itself as a strong contender for first choice British primary education in Seoul. The school now serves 180 aged 2-11 years, with an inclusive aspect to the admissions policy which results in a truly diverse student population with students from more than 25 different nationalities. Class sizes are limited to 16 with staff to student ratios of 1:8 for reception to Year 2, and less for the Nursery years. From Year 1 upwards pupils follow the English National Curriculum with increasing influence from various international inquiry based curriculum to enhance the international diversity and relevance of the learning in recognition of the global nature of the students and varied culture of Korea itself. Mandarin is included for all students from Nursery. Music, Art and sports play an important part in the school curriculum with all children encouraged to learn at least one instrument and participate in games, extra-curricular activities and swimming. There is a strong family feel which means all students feel welcomed, and cared for, and able to achieve excellent progress.
Requirements: The school seeks inspirational and dynamic class teachers to form part of its team. They are looking for teachers who are passionate about working with children and would relish the opportunity to be part of a new team developing a new school. Playing a full role in the pastoral and extra-curricular aspects of school life is expected. Experience of teaching in Prep Schools in the UK or abroad is desirable but not essential. The school is looking for applications from experienced school teachers as well as those who are younger and more recently qualified, an ideal applicant would have 2 years of teaching experience in a Prep School or Primary School either in the UK or overseas
