School Vision / Ethos: The school opened in September 2012, they are in a custom designed renovated building in the Hi-Tech District of Xi´an, China. They have candidate status from the International Baccalaureate (IB) for all 3 of their programmes (DP, MYP, PYP) and received IBDP authorisation in 2014 making it an IB World school. Their curriculum is an inquiry-based curriculum underpinned by national curricula from England, Canada and USA and implemented DP for their senior years from August 2014. They are entirely privately funded. The school was set up by a small group of parents. After less than one year of operation they gained their school licence from the government.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Applicants must be fully qualified (i.e. minimum of Bachelor degree and teaching certificate) and experienced (they prefer 3 years+ relevant teaching experience, though for a strong candidate would consider 2+ years). You must be committed to student centred inquiry based teaching in line with IB philosophy. IB experienced candidates are highly sought after. High levels of adaptability and resilience are required as this relatively new school environment establishes itself. This role will be teaching DP and MYP English.

The school will consider couples with or without children. Singles need to be resilient and adaptable. Xi´an, home of the Terracotta Warriors is a good place to live however is not as westernised as some of the more major cities.
