School Overview: This is a newly founded international school which opened in August 2017. Located in Suzhou Industrial Park, it provides 15 years of continuous K-12 dual-language education, emphasising the development of both Chinese and English as students´ mother tongues. Within the framework of the IB curriculum, on the basis of the Chinese national curriculum, and characterized by American innovative curricula, the school´s curriculum fosters proactive and balanced lifelong learners. The school will be committed to developing students´ potential in creativity, innovation and originality and enabling them to deal with the international problems of the 21st century in cooperation with young people from other countries. In the school´s first year, from August 2017, they are offering classes in Grades 1 to 5. From August 2018, they will have classes from Grades K to 11. Students will be competitively selected.

Location Overview: Suzhou is a charming city that is situated 80 KM west of Shanghai (22 minutes by fast train). It was recently voted as the second most "liveable" city in China for expatriates. Known as the "Venice of the Orient" it is an ancient city that is steeped in History and culture. However, it has also embraced the spirit of the new China and enjoys all the infrastructure and amenities that are required to make life in the 21st Century very pleasant indeed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Applicants must be fully qualified teachers with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience. The school is looking for highly motivated and suitably qualified teachers, who are keen to join this school within it´s second year of operation. Preference will be for those with previous IB or international experience, although this is not essential. The school will be seeking individuals who will be inspired by the opportunity to help to develop a brand new Chinese international school. As with any new school, teachers will need to be resilient and flexible.
