School Overview: This international school located in South Korea was founded in 2016 and is a small but growing independent school for students aged 3-16. The development and growth of the school that follows the PYP, MYP and IB Diploma is a long term project, to which staff and parents are committed. They are in the early stages of the journey and employees need to be mindful of both the challenges and opportunities that will come. At present they use four small buildings with a total of 6 classrooms, a science lab, assembly hall and several small group working rooms. There is a sports ground for soccer and basketball and three garden play areas. In late 2018 they will be constructing a new classroom block with approximately 8 classrooms. The school´s mission is to develop happy and respectful inquirers who think globally and act locally.

Location Overview: The school is located in the town of Okpo on Geoje Island, which is a beautiful island connected to the south coast of Korea by bridges. Busan is the nearest major city and this is about one hour away by bus. The lifestyle here and the package on offer makes this a very attractive location.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Applicants will ideally have 5 years of experience and ideally within the IB curriculum. As well as teaching English to IBDP level you should be open and willign to teaching some middle years (MYP) Individuals and Society in year 1. For visa requirements, applicants must be a native English speaker from one of the following countries: USA, Canada, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, Australia, South Africa. They are looking for teachers who are friendly, easy going, self-reliant and adaptable.
