We are a long established English language school aimed at helping students acquire English in a fun and progressive way and we are currently seeking full time teachers to join us in Suzhou. You will be part of a team of committed teachers with sufficient support from our staff.
We were established in 2007. Based on HMHG’s professional experience and outstanding products, we provide a highly dynamic American curriculum based on rigid guidelines while providing interactive multimedia to students both in and out of the classroom. After 10 years of growth, we have become a progressive household name in the English language learning industry. We are based in 80 cities in China with over 300 schools. We have 8 schools in Suzhou with over 7000 students throughout the city.
Our children have the opportunity to study in a fun and completely immersive English environment, which stimulates their interest in language learning. We not only develop children’s language skills, but also train them to understand the logic, cultural nuances and thinking methods behind the language. In addition, we focus on cultivating children’s leadership skills, including teamwork, presentation, project management, problem solving and creativity.
There are six centers in Suzhou, SND (Suzhou New District), SNDE (Emerald Square), Downtown, SIP West, SIP East, and SIPL (Leho). There are more than 7000 students currently studying in our schools in Suzhou and we are now expanding our classes in Suzhou and are interviewing for more educators to join us.
Also, we provide a long-term career path for all of our teachers, including foreign teachers. Therefore, there will be many opportunities to take up managing or training responsibilities within our network. Career paths include the transition from teachers to mentors, mentors to supervisors, supervisors to managers and managers up to headmasters.
Teach English in Suzhou
Suzhou is a renowned cultural, historic and tourist city, located just 25 minutes north of Shanghai on the fast train. The city is located in the southeast of Jiangsu Province, bordering Shanghai on the east. Written historical records indicate that Suzhou has a history of over 4000 years and the city is now best known around China for its unique and plentiful gardens and its many streams and canals, which have earned it the nickname "Venice of the East”.
In early years, teahouses and theatres were the most common nightlife activities. With the development of tourism however, there are multiple more fashionable choices in Suzhou now.
Suzhou is widely known in China as being one of the most livable cities in China, with a buzzing expat community and friendly locals. You will not enjoy only good food there, but also cosmopolitan atmosphere of nightlife activities including cafes, bars, teahouses, theatres and cinemas.
Main Responsibilities
-Maximum of 24 teaching hours per week
-Maximum of 40 working hours per week
-Student ages: 3 – 16 years old
-Work schedule: Monday to Friday (13:30 – 20:30), Saturday & Sunday (8:30-18:30) with 2 days off on weekdays (depending on class schedule)
-Cooperate with Chinese staff to ensure the constructive communication and efficient operation of the centre
-Lesson planning, creating course outlines
-Deliver classes in a fun and creative way
Requirements
-Native English speaker from UK, US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, South Africa
-Bachelor’s degree or above
-TEFL certificate 120 hours or above required
-2 years of teaching experience preferred (we will consider non-experienced teachers with 120 hours TEFL certificate)
-Highly responsible team player with hard working ethics
Compensation
Total monthly salary package valued at 16,000 – 25,000 RMB based on qualifications (Pay Structure: Base Salary + Teaching Pay + Food and Housing Allowance + Performance Bonus + Extra Bonus)
-Base salary: 6,500 to 8,000 RMB (based on experience & qualifications and negotiable)
-Teaching pay: 6,400 to 13,000 RMB (based on experience & qualifications)
-Monthly housing allowance and meal allowance: 3,000 to 3,500 RMB
-Airport pick up and 3 days of hotel stay upon arrival provided
-Flight reimbursement on contract completion: 6,000 RMB
-Contract retention bonus: 10,000 RMB (will be given at the end of your second year service)
-Chinese public holidays (paid) plus 10 personal holidays during summer or winter vacations
-Paid and sponsored Z work visa
-Health insurance provided
-Annual staff trip
-Professional pre-job training with on-going program supervision
