This organization currently oversees 2 private international schools near the heart of Doha and is currently in the construction phase for 2 further schools. Their current needs include everything from Kindergarten, through Primary, and Secondary - from KG through year 13. They are seeking teachers for the 2016-17 school year, as well as for openings that are currently available. Some classroom experience will be required for the Secondary positions, but newly qualified Kindergarten and Primary level teachers are strongly encouraged to apply!
The school follows a modified version of the National Curriculum for England and Wales from Kindergarten to Year 9. From year 10-13, the school prepares students for IGCSE, AS and A Level, following the Cambridge International Examinations Board, CIE. These are true international schools with students and teachers from over 50 nationalities. Teachers with knowledge of the British curriculum are especially encouraged to apply, but all state certified teachers are welcome.
Monthly tax free salaries are based on education/qualifications and experience, and range from 9,000 QAR to 18,000 QAR. Furnished housing is provided free of charge, within 5 to 8 kms of schools, and located near downtown Doha. The style of accommodation depends on the age, gender, and experience held by the teacher. Internet is available free of charge, and teachers are responsible only for utilities. Transportation is provided to and from school and home daily, and weekly shopping trips are available each Thursday.
Successful candidates receive an initial flight to Doha free of charge. Annual leave of approximately 60 days in July and August each year is offered, and yearly return flights to teachers’ home cities will be offered. Other benefits include gratuity (after completing 12 months service), medical, and a "star system” incentive program. These positions will be 2-year, extendable contracts.
