School Vision / Ethos: This is an International Baccalaureate World School located two hours from Hong Kong and one and a half hours from Guangzhou, in Southern China. It provides a caring and friendly approach for day and boarding students from KG - Grade 12. The school philosophy centres on the development of the intellectual, artistic, creative, physical and emotional dimensions of each individual student. At the heart of the schools approach is the wellbeing of each child, believing that by treating every student as an individual and unique learner, they are able to engage them, enhance their curiosity, individuality, and creativity.
The school is built on eighty five hectares of superb botanical gardens, overlooking a beautiful lake. Facilities include an Olympic sized swimming pool, basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, football fields and a four story boarding house with a capacity of 400. Day and boarding students live in harmony with nature in a unique learning environment. The school makes a bus available to teachers in the weekend and trips to Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen are made regularly.
Requirements:
* 2 years of teaching post-qualification experience is essential.
* As this is an IB World School, preference will be given to teachers with IB teaching experience and training, though this is not essential.
* There is a genuine family feel to this school, generated by teachers who contribute full to the life of this campus.
* Teachers should be prepared to take a tutorial one night per week and also take one extra-curricular activity per week. As students typically go home for weekends, teachers will have no responsibility during weekends.
