Bookselling: InterPress is the biggest distributor in Kazakhstan and Central Asia for publishers specializing in foreign language teaching materials, such as Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Pearson Education, Longman, Macmillan Education, Penguin, Langenscheidt, Max Hueber Verlag, CLE International, Hachette and others.
InterPress has its own travel agency called InterTravel. It is an IATA accredited agent and provides various travel services such as study abroad programs, tourism, booking and selling air-tickets, visa support and insurance.
In our Teacher Training Center we run courses such as the Cambridge CELTA, IHC, IHCYL, Exam preparation course, LAC, pre-CELTA course etc. Our teachers may get assistance in doing the courses in our centre while on contract with InterPress-IH.
1. The variety of programs offered by InterPress-IH provides our teachers with excellent opportunities to grow and develop their skills. Half of the classes we have are YL and Young Adult General English classes and the other part of our learners are adults, we also have in-company classes, Exam classes (TOEFL and IELTS), Business English classes and ESP programme.
2. Professional development: InterPress-IH has a monthly seminar program. Teachers attend seminars on a variety of EFL topics related to their day-to-day teaching concerns. These seminars are given by the DOS, ADOSes and teachers themselves. We also run occasional EFL workshops on demand. Teachers are observed regularly by senior members of staff as part of our ongoing commitment to teacher development. Discounts are given to full-time teachers to take in-house Teacher Training Courses like Exams Preparation Teacher Training course, IHCYLT.

4. InterPress-IH is an accredited IELTS, TOEFL iBT and Cambridge ESOL Test Centre.
- Our ideal candidate for DOS position will be a native English speaker who successfully completed MA in a relevant field (e.g. TESOL, Applied Linguistics, Educational Management etc.) and a DELTA and/or IH DOS Certificate holder, with at least a year experience in a senior management position and teacher training, preferably at an IH School. Being a CELTA Main Course Tutor and IELTS Examiner would be an advantage.
- Our ideal candidate for ADOS position will be a native English speaker who have successfully completed all Modules of DELTA, have relevant teaching experience of at least 3 years and at least 1 year in academic management position. Having a qualification in teaching YLs (IHCYLT or CELTYL) as well as an IELTS Examiner status would be an advantage.
- Our ideal candidate for a Senior Teacher position will be a native English speaker who has successfully completed IH CAM and/or one of the DELTA Modules, has relevant teaching experience of at least 3 years. Having a qualification in teaching YLs (IHCYLT or CELTYL) as well as an IELTS Examiner status would be an advantage.
- Our ideal candidate for an EFL Teacher position will be a native speaker with CELTA or equivalent qualification. At least 1 year post-CELTA teaching experience is preferred.
- Experience in teaching YL and Exam Preparation (IELTS and TOEFL) is highly preferable. Business English qualification will be an advantage, along with an IELTS Examiner qualification for all the positions.
Compensation
- Monthly salary (depending on qualifications and experience)
- Teacher post - KZT from 180 000 to 210 000(Almaty), 210 000-240 000 (Astana)- Gross (10% tax deductions)
- (1 USD currently = approx. 150 KZT).
- 9 or 12 month contracts for Teacher positions with competitive local salary, a bonus system, visa support, paid accommodation, airfare subsidy, paid holidays and health care.
Remuneration package:
- Visa support. The school assists and covers the costs of a multiple one-year work visa.
- Airport transfer on arrival and departure
- School accommodation is provided free of charge. All bills are paid by the school (electricity, gas, cold and hot water, local telephone etc) for those living in school flats; excluding international telephone calls, cable TV and internet. Accommodation allowance is paid to those who wish to find their own housing
- Paid induction period upon arrival
- Airfare allowance – 120 000 KZT per contract for travelers from Europe and 180 000 KZT for travelers from the USA, Canada and Australia
- End of contract bonus.
- 20 days paid holidays (for 12 month contract)/15 days paid holidays ( for 9 month contract) + public holidays.
