The London School offers incredible opportunities for TEFL teachers in the heart of Central Asia. Located in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, The London School is the country´s foremost language school.

The London School was established in 1998 and since then has gone on to become one of Bishkek´s leading language centers.

Foreign teachers teach only 4 days a week, with just four 80-minute lessons per day. Classes are mainly in the afternoon with a few morning classes. Class sizes are limited to a maximum of 8 students and you would teach a range of levels from Elementary to Master Class. QUALIFICATIONS

1. Preferably UK, Canada and US citizenship (preferable)(from birth). 

2. A TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate from an accredited institution.

3. At least one year of teaching experience.

4. A bachelor´s degree or higher.

However teachers with TEFL certificate but without teaching experience might be considered with two weeks training and trial months.

Teachers will earn from 30000 som ~ $650 up to 35700 som $ 800 (with one extra group) per month. This is more then enough to live very comfortably here. (The average salary in Bishkek is under about $150 a month and have savings.)

Teachers are paid in soms every two weeks and are provided with free accommodations. Teachers are given one week of vacation in the spring, one week in the summer and another two weeks at Christmas. 

Each month the school organizes free excursions to the surrounding mountains, where teachers can relax and take in the wonderful scenery. Take a look at our website for pictures! Free cultural trips are also organized once a month so that teachers may be introduced to the legendary Kyrgyz hospitality and traditions. Free horse-trekking trips organized by the school are available for our teachers at the end of their contracts. The London School arranges Russian and Kyrgyz lessons for teachers at a discounted rate. We have many good local teachers who bring beginners up to a conversational level fairly quickly.
