The English Opens Doors Program is an entity of the Ministry of Education in Chile and is supported by the United Nations Development Program. Our Program seeks native or near-native English speakers to assistant teach in Chilean public schools. While being supported by a professional Chilean English teacher, volunteers teach dynamic classes focusing on the listening and speaking abilities of their students using our independent teaching model.

We have 2 volunteer services left for 2018:
Volunteer Service 2: April 2 - November 24, 2018 - Application deadline is Dec. 17, 2017!
Volunteer Service 3: July 23 - November 24, 2018.
Volunteer Requirements:
Volunteers must have at least a bachelor´s degree or an equivalent degree and be between the ages of 21 and 35 years old. Additionally volunteers need to be physically and mentally able to work with minors and have a professional and flexible attitude.

Benefits
Volunteers receive a $70,000 Chilean pesos stipend for every 30 days of volunteer service, room and board with a Chilean host family, their visa fee is waived, and in-country health insurance as well as in-country transportation are provided. Volunteers also receive a comprehensive volunteer orientation and in-country volunteer support throughout their volunteer service.
