Job Overview: The school is seeking an Academic Principal who understands and supports Progressive Western education with an Eastern influence as well as the school´s, Mission, Vision and Core Values and School Wide Learner Outcomes. The Academic Principal reports directly to the Executive Principal, works in cooperation with the Chinese Vice Principal and supervises the Primary, Secondary Directors, the Director of College Counselling, the Curriculum Director and all foreign staff members. While most responsibilities are delineated below, the individual must be flexible and willing to lend a hand when and where needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

USA trained and experienced, strongly preferred; Mandarin is helpful but not required.

Minimum of 5 years´ experience as a head school principal preferably at the elementary, middle and high school levels or at a K-12 school.

Minimum of five years teaching experience

Master´s Degree or higher in School Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction or a related area

Minimum of five years teaching experience

Experience in a progressive education setting.

Certification in School Leadership/Administration/Curriculum and Instruction

Strong work ethic.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
