We are looking for two lecturers for English subject.

Position details

1. Teaching English and providing academic support to students

2. Collaborate with UCOL academics and academic staff members

3. Participation in the development, review and moderation of course materials, curriculum and assessment design to enable graduate outcomes to be met and evidenced

4. Key administrative tasks include the timely and accurate maintenance of student records and performance, including attendance records, assessment results, course outlines and moderation plans

5. Act as an Ambassador for UCOL within the institution that you are working

6. Participation in marketing, career and promotional activities may be required

Working hours: 4,5 teaching hours/day, 2 office hours/week. Mon - Fri job, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

1. Qualification in Teaching English as a foreign language (Trinity TESOL, CELTA or equivalent)

2. Teaching qualification

3. Ability to work independently and part of a team

4. Ability to teach at a foundation level

5. Familiarity with Chinese culture

6. Highly motivated, energetic and positive

7. Excellent communicator

8. Attentive to detail and organised

Following is the  great package that we offer:

1. Salary equivalent to $40,000 annually ($4,000/month)

2. Pre-departure allowance of $1,000

3. Accommodation in China (including utilities) valued at $15,000  per annum

4. International and domestic return airfares between New Zealand and China, up to $5,000 per annum

5. Travel and Medical Insurance up to $1,500 

6. Pre-trip vaccinations and medical requirements up to $1,000 per annum

7. A multi-entry Chinese work visa up to $1,000 per annum.
