School Overview: This is a great opportunity to teach in a small (currently 130 students) Canadian curriculum school in an enviable position in Bangkok. The school has a vision to educate students for the 21st century and this involves cutting edge use of technology. They want teachers who are passionate about teaching and learning, are creative and self-starters are welcomed at the school. The school is located in a new and fast growing area of Bangkok and is seen as an attractive school for middle class Thai families wanting a high standard of education delivered through the English language. The school is now well established (opened in 2007) and while students are predominantly Thai, there are Korean, American and Canadian students enrolled at the school. Class sizes are approximately 15 students. The school currently has an enrolment of 130 students and is growing. It is built for an enrolment of 700 students so space at present is not a concern. The school is only 10 years old so the facility is new, bright, well maintained and spacious.

Location Overview: Bangkok itself is a well known mecca in South East Asia and a tourist hotspot. It is the dictionary definition of a melting pot and is a fantastic location in which to live and work with all that South East Asia has to offer on its doorstep.

Requirements: The school are looking for someone with a strong Early Childhood background to be their Early Years Coordinator and classroom teacher. They will be opening new classes for for 4-year-olds (Junior Kindergarten) and one for 3-year-olds (Nursery) in September 2019. They are looking for a coordinator to join in January to work on the design of a suitable curriculum and to discuss the needs of the younger years with the director and deputy director. By September, the Early Years Coordinator would then teach one of the two new grades and also work closely with whoever is the nursery, Pre-K and Kindergarten teachers in order to make sure the younger years are going well.

The school will accept applications from new graduates. For Secondary roles, applicants must have a British Columbia Canadian teaching license which can be obtained quite easily by qualified teachers from other English speaking countries. For Primary roles, the school can accept teaching licenses from the teacher´s home country.

Salary and Benefits: The school provides a good salary package considering the low cost living that Bangkok affords. Teachers will earn 70,00 THB up to 102,000 THB per month dependent upon experience. Accommodation allowance is not provided but forms part of the above salary and with average accommodation around 8000 THB per month you will still have ample opportunity to save.
