ASU is located in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia. It is a private school with an international accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
We follow the Massachusetts curriculum standards for students in pre-kindergarten (age 4) through grade 12. Our student population is about 85% Mongolian, with the remaining students from about 20 different countries, and is mostly comprised of students whose first language is other than English. We prepare our students to succeed in English speaking colleges and universities and help them build the skills and attitude necessary to be intellectually reflective, lead a lifetime of meaningful work, be caring and ethical citizens, and be physically and mentally healthy.
ASU is looking for teachers who are interested in working in a creative, collaborative learning environment with an international student population. Our dynamic, progressive and balanced academic program is aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum standards. The homeroom teacher is responsible for teaching the core subjects. You will collaborate with your grade-level team. Maximum class size for grades 1-5 is 24 students, with smaller classes for our early childhood program. The language of instruction is English.
Applicants must have an education degree and current teaching certification.
Two years teaching experience is preferred; however, all qualified candidates will be considered.
