Energetic and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner needed for an IB candidate kindergarten in Yiwu, China

We are looking for Early years practitioners to teach at our IB candidate school in Yiwu, China. Teachers will have the opportunity to learn about and implement the PYP curriculum as a classroom teacher. We will provide you with a great salary and the opportunity to attend IB workshops for professional development. We follow a Monday to Friday schedule with weekends off. Our school has around 500 students across 22 classrooms with between 16 and 22 students in each class. Our school has great facilities such as dedicated PE and dance halls, music rooms, library, theatre, children´s kitchen, art room, pottery room, and swimming pool. The school is in a fantastic location with easy access to international branded shops, restaurants, and cafes.

QUALIFICATIONS

The position:

Design, prepare, and deliver high quality lessons to suit the individual needs of students

Create challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students

Assess and monitor student progress

Collaborate with other teachers to share ideas, approaches, and professional knowledge

Communicate regularly with parents

Will be a native English speaker from one of the 6 countries recognized by the Chinese government; Australia, Canada, South Africa, UK, USA, New Zealand

Will have a BA degree in education OR will have a degree in a different field with 2 years of post-graduate teaching experience

Will be open to new ideas

Will be enthusiastic and good at engaging with small children

Will be energetic and willing to engage in play based learning with the children; including songs and dances

A post tax salary between 12,000 

- 16,000 Chinese Renminbi per month

Our school is located in Yiwu, Zhejiang, China. Zhejiang province is a province in Eastern China and it is known for its many hills, lakes, and rivers. Yiwu is an extremely vibrant and multicultural city with a booming international trade community. There are an abundance of international restaurants and the school is located next to a major shopping mall with easy access to international brand cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and leisure activities such as a gymnasium and arcade. The city has an international airport that makes travel easier. Yiwu also has a high speed train station making travel to cities such as Shanghai and Hangzhou fast and cheap.
