A Teacher is responsible for providing an educational environment where students have the opportunity to fulfil their learning potential. This person is accountable for implementing an instructional programme that will result in students achieving academic success and personal growth in accordance with MADAR International School’s vision, philosophy and policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Teaching a required number of hours, sometimes across a range of grade levels and subjects.
- Class preparation and subsequent marking of class work.
- Exam setting and/or marking.
- Writing student reports
- Participating in school trips, events and activities, possibly outside regular school hours.
- Follow direction from AQA’s and HOD’s including:
- Writing or amending pacing charts/curriculum documents.
- Substituting for absent teachers.
- Attending meetings.
- Producing teaching resources.
The above list of duties and responsibilities is not comprehensive and the Teacher is expected to cooperate with the Director and the school administration in order to make sure that the interests of the school and its students are served in the most effective and professional manner.
