School Vision / Ethos: This school was founded in 2012, and has grown into a preferred school in the area catering for students from Nursery class to Year 11. It is a comprehensive English medium school hosting over 330 students including a range of nationalities. The motto of this school is Ethics and Academic excellence. An emphasis is placed on this, and learning the key skills. This is prevalent in the school grounds and wider school community. Whilst there is a strong focus on the academic programme, there is an equal importance on social and emotional development of students, in preparation to become the future leaders of society. The teaching staff are role models who lead and inspire students to aim for these goals. Respect for others and personal respect is also important, and students are encouraged to foster this.

Location: Khartoum is considered by many as on of the safest and friendliest cities in the world. Northern Sudan boasts it´s own pyramids (without the strong tourist atmosphere of Egypt), wonderful beaches and being on the coast of the Red Sea, has largely unspoiled environments for swimming and diving. Some of the world´s best diving is accessible here, which is now becoming more popular and increasing the tourism industry. Sudan has a more relaxed style of life which in turn is very social. Local markets also boast a wide variety of fresh foods and cooking together is very common.. The cost of living in Sudan is considerably lower than most Western countries, so (dependent on lifestyle) there is an ability to save a fair amount of salary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements: Applicants must be qualified teachers holding degree level certification and teacher certification or equivalent. You should have at least 2 year of experience post qualification as a minimum, but NQT´s will be considered. Previous US experience is preferable, and international experience is welcomed.
