What you can accomplish in a year in China depends on how you spend your time there. Each week, twenty hours are dedicated to teaching, ten hours are spent in the office or in support of student’s activities, and ten hours are allotted for collaborative or self-directed pursuits, such as language learning, exploration, and community engagement. This schedule leaves a significant amount of your time open to be used as you see fit. As a newcomer to China, the strong support network that our program provide will be invaluable in fulfilling your ambitions.
There are nearly endless possibilities for how you could spend a year in China. Above all, be active, be outgoing, because so much is possible if you just step out of your comfort zone. In the end, though, your year is your year, and it’s up to you what you do with it. However, it is our objective that this year can help kick start your life with an unforgettable year of learning and teaching. Teach English in Changzhou
Changzhou is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of China’s Jiangsu Province, a national historical and cultural city, located in southern Jiangsu, with a population of 3 million people. Changzhou is located in southern Jiangsu, just an hour’s train ride from Shanghai and also close to Nanjing and Hangzhou.
Changzhou Benniu Airport is located in Changzhou City. At present, there are more than 20 large and medium-sized cities flight route such as Beijing, Guangzhou, Dalian, Xiamen, Shenzhen, Haikou and Xi’an. The Changzhou Railway Station is located in Shanghai-Nanjing line, and the eastern part of the country’s large and medium-sized cities are almost all train connected. Changzhou-Shanghai, Changzhou – Tongling, Changzhou – Shanghai, etc. Most people from other cities can also take the train to Changzhou.
Changzhou has hundreds of tourist attractions, including numerous administrative, military, religious, historical sites and scenic spots, such as Tianning Temple, Maoshan Cave, Tianmuhu and Hongmei Pavilion.
Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree required
– Free TEFL training courses provided, so candidates without TEFL certificate are welcome to apply
– Candidates with no previous teaching experience are welcome to apply
– Native English speaker from UK, USA, NZ, Canada, Australia, Ireland or South Africa
– Energetic, enthusiastic and creative
– Clean criminal record
– Highly motivated, and posses the ability to face challenges
Compensation
– Salary: 5,000 RMB per month
– Free accommodation provided by the school
– Airfare reimbursement provided after contract completion: 7,500 RMB
– Airport pick up
