ABOUT TRANSFORMATION ACADEMY:
Transformation Academy (TA) is an association of four Christ-influenced private schools for Chinese and expatriate students in Shanghai and Shenyang. TA exists to transform lives and train servant leaders through high-quality education in a loving environment. TA was founded in 2013 and now has over 500 students in K-3 to 12th grade between our campuses.
The faculties are comprised of both Chinese and foreign teachers, and all foreign staff along with most Chinese staff members are Christians. The schools use an American-based curriculum for core subjects, and classes are taught in English (except Chinese language, Chinese math, and some electives).
Our mixed east-west approach to teaching provides a great atmosphere not only for students, but employees as well. TAS strives to provide employees with a fun-loving work atmosphere, daily support and encouragement, and a bilingual/multi-cultural work environment.
Our schools are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and Shenyang Transformation International School is also a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
JOB DESCRIPTION AND EXPECTATIONS:

• Maintain an organized classroom/office, model professionalism, and work efficiently
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Practice effective cross-cultural skills, as shown particularly by adapting to a cross-cultural (Chinese) school environment while teaching an American-based curriculum in English
• Actively pursue a faithful Christian witness in work and life

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM:
REQUIRED
• Committed Christian
• Bachelors Degree
• Experience traveling outside of the US.
• Some teaching Experience (either full time, student teaching or substitute)
PREFERRED
• Education or English Degree
• Missions / Ministry Experience
• Two years teaching experience
• TEFL, TESOL, ESL training (or willingness to get certification)
